The gpu fan works, don't get me wrong, but when the gpu hits 93 degrees, you expect it to work at faster RPMs but it works really really slow.Īnd as for the fps issue in Fallout 4, I ran the game and recorded the temperatures, clocks, etc with HWMonitor. I cleaned the fans, unplugged and plugged both of them and it didn't help as well. When I increased the RPM on "FAN 1&2", it seemed to control only the CPU fan. I installed HWINFO64 to manually set up a fan profile and all I am seeing is FAN 1&2, there is no dedicated FAN 2 or a GPU FAN. Here are the solutions I've tried for the fan and the temp. Anyway, I also made sure that the game was running on the dedicated GPU which is GTX 880M. It's good to note that the fallout 4 is the first game I tried after I clean installed windows 10 a few months ago since I wasn't able to play any games due to school. However, I tried Fallout 4 last this week, and even at the lowest settings, the fps was on or less than 30fps, and it was almost unplayable. My laptop run most of the games on high/ultra settings really well, like crysis 3, shadows of mordor, gta 5 on usually around 60fps, and sometimes even more. When the CPU goes above 60+ degrees, the fans go crazy on the left side. Even under 90+ temperatures, the gpu fan, which is the one on the right side of the laptop, seems to work at a low RPM.

I realized that the temperature goes up to 93degrees and stays there. Recently, I've been paying attention to the temperatures and the memory clock on my GPU, gtx 880M, under heavy and moderate loads. Does A05 System BIOS update for AMD cards change the fan algorythms throughout the system - would this affect nvidia cards, if so, does anyone know how to roll back a BIOS updateĢ.First of all someone flagged my previous topic as spam, and I don't know why, but this is not a spam. I know there is nothing wrong with the video cards - and no it's not under warrantyġ. I have nvidia system tools, but the area is greyed out where it normally allows you to adjust the fan speed Now the GTX 580 cards are overheating and I cant adjust the fan speed When I had AMD 6990's I installed the A05 System BIOS update for AMD cards I recently changed the video cards to GTX 580's Hello, does anyone know if there is a way to control the video card fan speeds on a M18x with dual gtx 580's
